Prof. Julius Onuorah Onah was born in Orba Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. He graduated in Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1965. He proceeded to Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan for his Master degree and Ph.D respectively in General and Food Marketing between 1966 and 1971. In 1976, he proceeded to Research Institute OF Management Sciences, Delft Hollland, for his Post Doctoral diploma in Marketing Management which he obtained with Distinction. Prof. Onah became Professor of Marketing in 1981, and he is the first alumni of the University of Nigeria to be made a Professor by the University of Nigeria, and first Nigerian Professor of Marketing. He served in various capacities such as Vice Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu between 1991 and 1999. Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, 1985 to 1987. Associate Dean, Faculty of Business Administration 1978 to 1980. Head, Department of Marketing, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus 1980 to 1983, e.t.c. Professor Julius Onah is a recipient of various honours and awards. He is also a Fellow of the following professional bodies locally and internationally. OBIORA MADU- ACIB, CMILT, Fellow Inst. of Export. Mr. Obiora Madu is the Chief Executive Officer and Programme Director of Multimix Academy. He spent about a decade on the Export Desk of two major export banks in Nigeria and was a member of the pioneer team that developed most of the export financing products and instruments that are generally used by most banks in Nigeria today. He is popularly called Mr. Export because of his total commitment to the improvement of standards in export practice and management in Nigeria. In 1999, he was a recipient of the prestigious Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Gold Award for his contribution to international trade development within the sub-region. Madu, who is the only representative of the International Import/Export Institute based in Arizona, United States in Africa attained the highest Certification of the Institute a Certified International Trade Educator (CITE) in 2002. He is a fellow of the institute of Export of Nigeria, a member of Logistics Society of Nigeria, chartered member of Chattered Institute of Logistics and Transport, member International Association of Trade Training Organization and foundation Registrar & Chief Executive of Institute of International Business and Logistics (Limited Gtee.). Madu was also recently appointed a member of the Steering Committee for the African Network of International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management programme of the International Trade Centre the United Nations Arm in Geneva. Madu is the Author of several manuals and publications in addition to two books on international trade-EXPORTING-Frequently asked questions and EXPORT FINANCING both published by Multimix Export Academy. Mrs. Dabney Shall-Holma was born in 1956 (maiden name: Mustapha). She studied Political Science (ABU/ABC Kano) and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology from the same university before proceeding to University of Wales, Cardiff, Wales for her Masters Degree in Maritime Studies & International Transportation. In her continuous strive for academic pursuit, she attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2008 for a Certificate in the Practice of Trade Policy. She joined the Nigerian Shippers' Council in 1989 and rose to the rank of Deputy Director (Ports) in 1995. From June 1996 to March 1998, she was seconded by the Federal Ministry of Transportation to Nigerian Unity Line (a Federal Government Shipping Line) as General Manager. From March 1998 to May 2007, she was de-seconded by the Federal Ministry of Transportation to Nigerian Shippers' Council as Deputy Director (International Trade) and promoted to Director with effect from 1 June 2007. She had been appointed member of several presidential and inter-ministerial committee by the Federal Government. Dr Martin Oluba, the president and chief executive of ValueFronteira Limited is equally a professor of economics and finance at the SMC University, Switzerland and adjunct faculty (mentor) at Northcentral University, Arizona, USA. He is member of the governing council of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) and serves as the chairman of the economics and statistics committee. He is equally a member of the editorial board as well as a columnist of Businessday newspapers. Martin's consulting experience cuts across several sectors of the Nigerian economy and comprises many engagements with the World Bank, European Union (SRIP), CIDA, DFID, SLGP, UNIFEM, the National Assembly, many commercial banks, Nigeria's National Planning Commission, Federal ministries, many states and local governments as well as leading private organizations in Nigeria. He was equally a research fellow at the Lagos Business School between 1996-7. Martin obtained a bachelors degree (cum laude) and a masters degree (with a distinction) in economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka). He equally obtained Ph.D from ESEADE University Institute Argentina with a dissertation titled “Responses of Gross Domestic and Foreign Private Investments to Macroeconomic Conditions in Nigeria” as well as obtained a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) from the Swiss Management Center, Switzerland. Dr. Donald Burton is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology with Honors. He completed his Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Oregon, Lindquist Graduate School of Management (Top 5% of class) and obtained his Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) with honors at Nova Southeastern University, Wayne Huizenga School of Business.
He is a lifetime member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration. Dr. Burton has been an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix since 1988. He is the founder of the International Import-Export Institute and a major force in the development of its courses and programs. Dr. Burton is a member of the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relation (Chapter of the Council on Foreign Relations) and a member of various other trade related organizations, including the Society for International Affairs. Dr Taylor graduated in the UK, initially in Physics and then in Operations Research, and has over thirty years experience working with large world class organisations such as Reckitt Benckiser, Tyco Electronics, Diageo(Guinness) and DHL Exel. In addition to a period as University Lecturer in both the UK and Malaysia, he has worked extensively in the supply chain in a number of roles, including Management Consultant, Purchasing/Supply Manager, Supplier Development Director, Procurement Director, Logistics Director and Managing Director. Tony has been in Nigeria since 2001 and has a very good understanding of the practice of logistics and the issues surrounding its successful development in the country. With like-minded logistics professionals and the Lagos Business School he helped to create the Logistics Society of Nigeria and was honoured to be its first President. Hakeem graduated in Law with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) at the University of Lagos as a Federal Government Scholar in 1984. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985 after passing the Bar Examinations with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division). He later obtained the Master of Laws (LL.M) and MBA degrees from the same University. Between 1986 and 1992, he was a Lecturer at the Universities of Ilorin and Lagos. In 1991/92, he was a visiting Scholar at the Yale Law School, Connecticut, USA. He joined UACN Plc in 1995 as Manager, Legal Services and between and role to become the Divisional Managing of MDS in April, 2000. Mr Ogunniran has attended various courses at home and abroad including the Unilever IMS (1996) and the General Management Programme of Ashridge Management College, U.K (2000). He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (USA), International Society of Logistics(SOLE), Founding Director of the Logistics Society of Nigeria and Founding Member/Trustee of the Institute Of Logistics Management, Ltd/Gte. He was the President and Chairman in Council of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Nigeria and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, London. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK. Greg Ilukwe has had a career in logistics and transport spanning six decades. He is Chairman of Gezhil Agro- Allied and Technical Co. Ltd as well as a number of other companies. He is also Chairman Board of Trustees of Legacy, a non-Government organization involved in preservation of the Nigerian historical monuments. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and pioneer Chief Executive of the Nigerian section for over ten years. In 2007, he was awarded the prestigious title of International Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He was the elected President of the Union of African Railways, an organization under the auspices of the OAU (now African Union), between 1998 and 2000. For several years, Dr. Ilukwe represented Nigeria in the International Council of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport during which period he served on the International Committee on Finance and Investments as well as the Ad-hoc Committee on Planning and Strategy worldwide. He played a leading part in the transformation of the African Support Group leading to the creation of the African Forum, which is now involved in governance of the African sections. Greg Ilukwe started his career in the Nigerian Railway Corporation, rising from the level of clerical officer in 1949, combining career and continuing education to become the corporation's Director of Internal Audit in 1982 and eventually the Sole Administrator/CEO in 1995. He is an alumnus of the University of California Graduate School (UCLA), Ashridge Management College, Hertfordshire, UK and Baroda Railway Staff College, India. He holds a doctorate degree (honoris causa) in Public Administration from Bradley University, USA. He also accumulated wide exposure and experience in logistics and transport through extensive travel and interaction. Dr. Ilukwe remains active in Nigerian and African railways, general logistics and transportation matters as a consultant. |
